Maddalena Collini

Maddalena Collini works with our law firm primarily in the privacy and data protection field.

After graduating from the University of Trento, she worked in bankruptcy law, specializing in civil law. In particular, she has gained experience in the areas of professional liability, debt collection, movable and immovable enforcement procedures.

She collaborates since 2015 with the Chair of Tax Law at the University of Trento and is part, since 2016, of the team of professionals who deals with the training of ski instructors on behalf of the Provincial College of Ski Instructors of Trentino.

She contributed to the volume "Sport e fisco", published by Editoriale scientifica (2018).

Artificial Intelligence and data protection: a possible coexistence?

The aim of European legislation on AI is to ensure - as stated in the Explanatory Memorandum of the Proposal for a Regulation on AI - that 'European citizens can benefit from new technologies developed and operated in accordance with the values, fundamental rights and principles of the Union'.  Among these rights, the right to the protection of personal data certainly plays a primary role.

News for the opposition register. What fate for telemarketing?

On 13 April 2022, Presidential Decree no. 26 of 27 January 2022, which contains the regulation on the objections register, will come into force.
The decree regulates the right of individuals to object to the processing of their data for "the purpose of sending advertising or direct sales material, or for carrying out market research or commercial communication". The Decree will be operational from July 2022.
