After graduating from University of Messina Law School, Laura Anna Terrizzi attended the Graduate School of Health Economics and Management (ALTEMS) at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, where she earned an M.A. in Legislation and Health Law.

Licensed to practice law since 2020, in the same year she successfully completed the course of study in “Improving Global Health: Focusing on Quality and Safety” offered by HarvardX, a learning initiative of Harvard University.

In 2022 she earned a PhD in Criminal Law at University of Messina (Department of law), defending a doctoral thesis entitled “Medical devices A.I. powered and medical liability: prolegomena to a study”.  She is also an Alumna of The Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights, where she earned the Diploma in International Criminal Law (2022).

During her professional training she has dealt with criminal law, specifically focusing on medical malpractice. She also collaborates with the Criminal Law Department of the University of Messina.

Laura Anna Terrizzi has authored several publications on criminal law, specializing in the field of medical malpractice as well as a monograph (“Medical devices and criminal law. Producers and users liability schemes”) edited by Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre (2023).
