The New English Guide on the Management of Medical Devices in Hospitals

We report an interesting news in the field of medical devices: the British Authority MHRA - Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency - has published a guide about the proper management of medical devices within the hospitals .
In particular it deals with the issues related to:

- purchase of the devices (with particular attention to the profiles that must be taken into account for a proper and efficient purchase of a Medical Device);

- test of the Medical Device;

- staff training;

- management of the instruction for the use;

- maintenance and repair;

- disposal of the Medical Device .

The current guide, which replaces the previous one of the 2006, is addressed to people who are responsible for the above mentioned activities (the purchase manager, the clinical engineers for maintenance and utilization , etc ... )
